RATINGS of POPULAR ANIMATED SERIES + Anticipated Numbers for 'Beyond Me'

Below will show what the ratings of hit television shows have looked like in the past, as well as display what a potential captive audience could look like for the "Beyond Me" television series. Also, the potential for merchandising will be evaluated, along with cost of production.


12M Viewers

Nielsen reports that "Family Guy" peaked in its first season with an average of 12 million viewers per episode. Season 16, which aired from 2017 to 2018, landed about 3.52 million viewers per episode.

4.08M Viewers

The 29th season of the long-running animated comedy show ‘The Simpsons’ drew in an average of 4.08 million viewers, but whilst this figure may seem impressive at first glance, viewer numbers have been on the decline for years.

1.4M Viewers

The first airing of the Adult Swim program grabbed 1.4 million viewers in the demo of adults 18-34. The show was the No. 1 show on all of broadcast and cable in that same demo, up 50% from viewers in the key demos last season and the highest rated Adult Swim prime-time program in five years. It even beat out NBC’s “The Voice” and the NBA playoffs on TNT.

2.2M Viewers

2.2 million people tuned in to the first episode of Thrones when it debuted. 3 million people watched the season one Thrones finale.

Total Aggregated Number of Followers from "Beyond Me" Cast: 96.2M

2% of the total followership converted to viewers = 1.92M viewers.

The idea is to have the cast push each and every individual episode to their followers. The mission is to create social media activity and discussions about each episode.

Netflix plans the release of new toys and merchandise that will be based on its hit TV shows. 

"Merchandise will help market hit programs to a wider audience — and generate additional revenue. Netflix has already conducted one test with Hot Topic Inc., which sold T-shirts, mugs, caps, and jewelry tied to sci-fi smash 'Stranger Things.' The company is still in an experimental phase, according to a Netflix spokeswoman.

'We are pursuing consumer products and associated promotion because we believe it will drive meaningful show awareness/buzz with more tangible, curated ways to interact with our most popular content,' Netflix says in the posting. 'We want licensed merchandise to help promote our titles so they become part of the zeitgeist for longer periods of time.'"
