February 20, 2020 —Verse Comics partners with Detroit-born, Carlos 'HaHa' Davis, best known for his hilarious and viral Instagram videos which have garnered him an impressive 6.3 Million followers and climbing, to release an original graphic novel that will feature HaHa Davis as the main character.
HaHa Davis has been featured in Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" video, alongside comedy veteran Chris Rock, as well as Big Sean's "Single Again" video. He has recently made appearances in projects produced by Netflix and Comedy Central.
The HaHa Davis inspired graphic novel, which is a book made up of comics content, will be titled Beyond Me and is expected to be released in the Spring of 2020 under Verse Comics USA. Beyond Me was created and written by B. Van Randall and will be illustrated by Artist JG. Beyond Me will go on pre-order on February 21, 2020, at midnight EST. Pre-ordering the book will allow fans to take advantage of cool perks and savings that may not be available after the official release date of May 31, 2020. Perks like a private meet and greet with HaHa Davis or becoming a character in a future issue of the series.
Verse Comics USA is based in Detroit, MI. B. Van Randall founded the company. He is the creator of the riveting and acclaimed graphic novel and motion comic series titled Therians: The Awakening. Verse Comics USA also recently partnered with rapper Lazarus to produce the graphic novel Resurgent: The Rise of Lazarus. Verse Comics has also partnered with Grammy-nominated rap artist Yukmouth (of the Luniz) to create the graphic novel P: The Legend of Yukmouth (also set for a Spring 2020 release date).
